Elana Lisa & The Hot Mess have become the cornerstone of Strangeway's Sunday Revivals and never fail to draw a fun and lively crowd.  Elana's powerful, soulful voice immediately turns heads and draws people in so that folks expecting to just stop by and have a quick beer soon find their afternoon plans have changed.  The band effortlessly combines a mix of Blues, Soul, Swing and Jazz in a way that has you feeling like you're hearing your favorite songs for the very first time.  They're an all around blast to have around and so are their fans.  We look forward to having them back again and again!

Elana Lisa & The Hot Mess were ESSENTIAL to the success of Dogtown's 2019 Mardi Gras RVA! Not only was the music stellar, but the band truly embraced the entire theme and festivities with their costumes, wonderful and outgoing demeanor, and incredible jazz music. They played New Orleans and Mardi Gras classics with a mix of their own incredidble tunes, and truly had everyone dancing ALL NIGHT. We would recommend them for any major event and can't wait to have them back at Dogtown!

"This group was really stellar tonight.  Swing-ish but modernized.  They really owned the room.  Floor bass, hollow body guitar, drums and one guy played tenor sax, alto sax and flute.  Her voice was growly, sassy and honeyed.  Wow. Wow.  Definitely give them a try.  Memorable!!"
